Yang Liu is Dean of the Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR), Co-Executive Dean of the Artificial Intelligence Hospital, and GDS Professor in the Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University. His research focuses on natural language processing, AI+ healthcare, and AI for Science. He leads major research projects including the Distinguished Young Scholars Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Project “New Generation Artificial Intelligence” under the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 initiative. His principal academic service roles include Chair of the Organizational Work Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and Chair of the Computational Linguistics Committee of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China, among others.
